The average Finn speaks English very well. I study French, English, German and Spanish. In Finland I talked these four languages. With Finns I talked most of the time Englisch, with some students French. My mothertongue is Dutch

Most Finns are fluent in English so I had no trouble getting around. Even the older people and homeless managed to speak in English, I was surprised by that!

English is spoken almost everywhere, but finnish is impossible to study!! too difficult
