Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Living on campus was relatively expensive compared with the quality of the rooms and the whole building. Also we had problems with the housing contract termination.

Overall, it was nice to live on campus, but the building was very old and dirty. The appartments were small with only the minimum furniture. Also most of the housing contracts did not cover the whole semester, so at the end of it we needed to look for some place to live for a couple of days in order to finish our exams.

Housing
Type of housing: A room exchange
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: A room exchange
Why?
Cheapest option for a student and its close to the school. You meet a lot of international students there, which helps you to improve language skills and other international communication skills. Very interesting to live in a same building with 200 other international students from all over the world.

the accommodation was worst than I expected since we were paying quite a tlot of money and the cleaning was not really well organized and we did not have services as internet. Although the people I meet there have become really good friends of mine.

It was nice to have the whole house for the exhange students. The house was pretty ok but the rent was too high. I also would have like to have also Dutch students living in the same place. The distance to the center was long but train connections were pretty good.

The apartment was huge and we had everything we needed. It was pretty close to our university but rather far from the city of amsterdam. The place was also somehow scary...anyways, local authorities decided to remove those apartment houses and replace them.

By getting apartment for rent, it would be esier to decide take it or not. By living on campus you are awarded with a room that you are not allowed to change. Otherwise, campus is not a bad choice.
