Because the campus is a great site and the appartments are pretty good there. Although, the same standard offered are usually out-priced downtown.

I think it's not worth paying for the very expensive apartments. I also advise against living in a bunk bed room as I did as the space is really small. A double room is pretty ok.

Had a Chinese roommate so culturally very interesting.

Very interesting experience. Had a room that faced the sea and many facilities (squash & tennis courts, swimming pool) just near. What's more, shared chinese students' life.

Beacause it was a good experience to stay in a dormitory and it was close to university facilities.

That is where life takes place. The campus is more than big enough to accomodate everyone. Outside living just bears potential for unnecessary complications.
