So-so.
Did not get involved.

Overall
Describe host city: Student life dominates the city
Activities, Nightlife, Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment
Personal comments:
Iéseg has a student run organization that organizes events for foreign students. The nice thing about this organization is that both french and foreign students participate in all the activities. It provides an excellent opportunity to meet people from many different cultures.

Personal comments:
Excellent night out in Café Oz which is especially good if your french is a little rusty. Nice little creperie on Rue de Bethune which also has a cheap and cheerful little b&b. But for the main student nightlife go down Rue Massena/Rue Solférino - that's where it all happens!

Personal comments:
Latina Café, Snooker Palace, Highlander, and Café Oz were popular choices for bars among the international students at IESEG. Le Faso is a great African restaurant in Vieux Lille. And Flam's and 400 Coups are some pretty good restaurants on Rue de Pas near Grand Place.

Start with the hot, smoky but always a party Latina Cafe on Rue Massena, then check out all the other clubs and bars along that street that is the hub of student night life in Lille.
