Course recommendations
The coures FIN 651,about options, futures and derivatives with professor Janos Zash, was very good. Also MAN538:International management was good. Do never think about the cours ACC559:International accounting and auditing,it's really wast of time.

Longer examn than 1,5 hours and not answer for only 2 lines. When you have read a lot, you really want to tell some more to show your understanding.

Personal recommendation
It depens on what you are used to back home. As an exchange student it is not a very difficult university,we are there to get new experiance , not to see the inside of the reading room. I will recomand everybody to not read to much.

Do get the deposit back when you leave...or you will never see it again. Do not listen for "I'll send you the deposit when I get the TLF - and EL-bill. This kind of bill you get when you call there. It's done in one minute.

I went to a privat language school twice a week á 3 hours, beside the university. Hungarian is very difficult to learn, but at the end of the semester I felt I was quite good( have ofcourse forgot a lot by now). Most of the young educated people talked english, but in shops most of the people didn't speak English.

Can't miss: Sir Lancelot(restaurant where you have to eat with your fingers). Fatal(restaurant where you can't manage to eat all the food you get). Old man's pub(pub with very nice atmosphere),The Dock(big disco, have to bee there, one of the most expensive disco in town, beside Bank and Citadell). The university disco "kÖzgas" is also good...and not expencive).Fat mo's(pub/disco)..always a lot of people. You also have to visit one of the outdoor bath- Gellert and the one in the Vörösliget park is good. The castle hill is a must. So is the Gellert topp from where you can see the whole city.
