La salamandra was a great night night club located in the "Mundo e" Plaza. The "Beer Factory" also was a great after movies place to go and meet up with friends. I liked Teotihuacan and the pyramids. It was really interesting to know that it was at one time , really one of the most powerfull cities in mexico. On spring break or as they called it "Semana Santa", I went to Acapulco. That is the place to go. I've been to Cancun but it was more like Florida with a spanish twist. The life in my city where I was living was really laid back. I lived in "Las villas de la hacienda", the town right where the school is located. So my house was only one street away from the school which made it very convenient for me. Most of the students were required to drive more than an hour in some instances just to get to school. On the over-all, this was a gret experience to learn another culture.

Best night club is BOSSE on Fridays (real chic), Walstreet on Tuesdays, La Marche is always good for free drinks. Travelling is the best...every weekend. Manzanillo is 4 hrs, Puerto Vallarta only 5hrs on bus. Everything is close to Guadalajara. The only disappointing this is that I HAVE NO MEXICAN FRIENDS. The school is kinda snotty, guys everywhere only want to sleep with you, and mexican girls seem kind of competitive with you. I am quite diappointed I don't have any good friends that are native, but I have the best exchange friends.

Favorite night spots: Bosse, Metro, Van Go, Nova, Wall Street. Best Cafes: Cafeto (Que Rico!) Events: Comidas, soccer games, local holidays (Day of the Dead, etc.), concerts, Spring Break all throughout March. Places not to be missed: All downtown areas, churches, Aztec + Mayan + Toltec + Olmec ruins, the beaches, famous taco stands.

Guadalajara Mexico has an amazing night life. From salsa to Latin American pop and rock - you must try them all!
