Overall
I wish I had known...
I wished I had spend more time on outdoor activities such as skiing and snowboarding, particularly as the university is located in the midst of the Japanese alps and has one of the biggest skiing resorts five minutes away. Unfortunately, due to reasons back home, I didn't have much time to enjoy the Winter sports and activities as I would have liked.

Final comments
Try to do a lot of extracurricular activities and try to get to know more of the locals, as well as other host families in other part of Japan. Try to save up and travel to other parts of Japan too as it is really worth it.

Please go to Waseda, Keio, Kobe instead of IUJ.

Thailand, Graduate
, 2021
Overall
To be honest and unbiased, if you have chance or choice to choose other business school in Japan. Please go to Waseda, Keio, Kobe instead of IUJ. I deeply regret to choose this university as graduate school and I can’t change. At the end, I can’t get a job in Japan and I think I should have better experience if I choose other school.
Advantage :
- Cost of living is low since the university is situated in the middle of nowhere.
- There are many scholarship offered
- Staffs on average are friendly and good
Disadvantage:
- Quality of education and teaching on average is not good enough and in some courses I got nothing.
- You can’t experience true culture of Japan
- Canteen offers not good quality of food and not cheap so I have no choice but to cook
- The school building and dorm are very old and not wide.
- Due to diversity of student, the kitchen and dorm are dirty, busy, noisy which are far away from Japan standard as general
- The school shop takes advantage from bad location by selling expensive foods and drinks to students. I sometimes have to buy since the convenience store and supermarket are far away from university.
- Japanese people know nothing about this university. In other words, this university is infamous.
- The location is so bad and very inconvenient. You have nothing to do after class and there is no part time job that you can do except library work which is competitive.
