Personal comments
I wouldn't miss the small restaurants in and around Trastevere, the decadence of the Baja, the American crowd at La Cuccagna, the Gianicolo, the small d'essai cinema "Sordi-Trevi", and the hours you can spend around the Pantheon.

I chose to live in the center of Rome; an expensive but worthy decision that allowed me to experience the best of the city.

Final comments
Take advantage of your location and travel, especially south. For example, I would recommend Ponza island. Restaurants deserve a closer look. Via del Governo Vecchio is a good place to start. Look out for the Trevi, Pasquino cinemas and the Hollywood shop if you like movies. There's lots of things going on in Rome, find them out.

As usual, more attention should be given from the faculty to the specific needs and possibilities of exchange students. But generally speaking it's alright.

For Spanish students it's quite straightforward. For others it should be noted that living with local people incredibly boosts language abilities.
