Final comments
Germany is a great place to live and study if you are a self-motivated person. It is not in the German psyche to hold your hand, even if you are from another country. One big anvantage is that 80-90% of educated germans speak english well enough to help you out.

Go to the many flea-markets to get what you can't afford new. The one at the Ostbahnhof is a good bet. Beer is usually the least expensive thing you can drink, soft drinks included!
