Academic
Course recommendations
Take a swedish language course. It happens often to take classes which lectures are given only in swedish. You can always read english books, but following lectures would of course imply less work.

Maybe I would have taken a swedish language course during the first semester. Even though everybody speeks fluent english, socially it is quite important to know it.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
The main goal of my Erasmus was to get to know new cultures meeting people from other countries. I think that a student house is the best way to do it.

Everything was very well organized. I just needed to apply quite early (April 2005) for an accomodation and the university took care of all the rest. At arrival day I just had to pick up the keys and I was taken to the my appartement by the university mentors. Scandinavian people are very well organized in life in general.

The nations in Lund are probably the main places where nightlife happens. Nations are student societies to which anyone can apply. They organize every kind of activities and have their own clubs, where they organize parties one or two times per week. I warmly suggest to become a member of one of them.
