Alojamiento
Tipo de alojamiento: En el campus
Organizado por: Universidad de intercambio
Si volviera, eligiría: En el campus
¿Por qué?
Because you live together with ALL the other exchange students and also many norwegians...it is a great place to enjoy the company of the rest of students

Arrangement was very easy, rooms where big enough with private toilet and shower. Kitchens were shared (this leads to some trouble some times) but well equipped and with a great view of the fiord. Internet connection was free and very fast. Rooms were also private. It was not a luxus place, but was comfortable and with a bit of things you could make your room really yours and welcoming!!

Familia
Otras fuentes de financiación:
Ahorro personal
Beca ERASMUS
Oportunidades de trabajo:

Costumbres personales de gasto
Night life and alcohol in Norway are really expensive, but for non drinkers like me water is available, cold and free!! Housing and food are expensive compared to Spain, but buying together with other people lowers the cost a lot...and allows better meals to be prepared!!

Credit and debit cards from home worked sometimes, at university without problems, but in some cash dispensers problems appeared. Check with your bank the highest amount you can get with a card, to minimize the cost of it. Almost no offices of foreign banks.

Estudios
Recomendaciones de cursos
Courses in English are not hard at all, marketing courses are quite basic but interesting to see how culture changes the point of view of marketing, and also to analyse what may be successfull there, the comparisons with home were really fun!!

Valoración global
Si lo hubiera sabido...
Information was well provided by university and I had mentored 2 guys from that university at home before going to Norway, so no big surprises.

Bergen is precious, makes you love nature even more, Norway is a country to visit and to love, travel as much as possible with the other exchange students, helps to strenghten tights and you will love each and every kilometer you make!!!
Visit: in the north: Alesund and Trollstigen, south drive to Preikestolen but not through the coast...drive the road next to Hardanger Fjord south to Stavanger and to the Preikestolen...it took us 10 hours by car...mainly because we stopped a lot to take tons of pictures (Thanks for inventing digital cameras!!!). Preikestolen is fantastic, it takes 1 hour to get there from the basis of the stone...try to be there early, to enjoy it with no one else, we arrived at the top at 8:00 am and stayed there for 3 hours....we took more than 300 pictures, so have your cameras empty before going up!!! We woke up at 5:30, it was worthfull!!!!
It is an expensive country...but every Norwegian cround spent has an enormeous return of investment!!!!

Learning Norwegian is not easy at all...but English is widely spoken and used, so international students managed our lifes in English, 5 months of Norwegian lessons (one hour per week) was not enough to try the languange with Norwegians...but knowing German helps a lot in understanding them!!!
