I do not know because I did not live at campus, but I could see some friends'houses in the campus and I did not like them, they were not so comfortable as the normal houses.

There is a huge amount of tourism in Galway, so defining yourself as a non-tourist is difficult. Certain bars and pubs are more "local and students" and some are more for tourists, but you can fine some nice places. Don't miss the restaurant Couch Potato.

It was great. Coming from a residence hall at a state university in the US, this was heavenly. It was very utilitarian, but I had more space than back home.

Rent was cheap, which was wonderful. I went out a bit more, so of course it was more expensive, and I travelled all the time, so of course it cost more.

Course recommendations
Try to talk to someone who's done the same course on previous years. If not, you're gonna be a bit lost. Also, be pretty sure of the amount of credits you require. The system in Ireland is different too so be careful.
