Personal spending habits
I wanted to explore Norway and have a social life with the exchange student, so I travelled and went out more than an ordinary student usually does. And it was deffinitely worth doing. Besides that Norway is realtively expensive country.

Travelling in Norway is very expensive -I recommend to inform about all travel discounts immediatelly in the beginning. Cycling in spring and summer is the best way of the local transportation.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I would have choose a different area to live in, as there was other accomodations available in nicer areas of the city (yet not as close to the school) and the same price.

Personal comments
The accomodations were satisfactory. They were conveniently located next to the school and in good location to the rest of the city. The accomodations didn't have the best facilities, location or cleanliness about them.

The language of instructin is Englis, and I would have excepted just Italian as another possible language of instruction. In Norway practically everyone speaks English so I a not handikept by my gnorance of Norwegian. The Norwegian course was offered at school at a reasonable, but it was still too much for my budget. I do regret not having better knowledge of Norwegian language.

Travelling around europe is very easy and therefore before going get visas for those countries not covered under schengen like UK, Switzerland, Czech republic etc. Busses are cheaper than trains. One can buy the Euroline Bus pass and save money. Also keep a lookout for cheap airlines like Ryanair, Goodjet, Gofly, Easyjet as they offer really cheap and sometime free tickets. I travelled on a Goodjet from Oslo to Paris for 19 euro.

BI did a good job, the exchange program was organised perfectly. I would maybe appreciate more social events and travelling organised by school.

The study exchange program at BI in Sandvika was just excellent. The life in Norway is very sporty and natural, so I recommend to be prepared for that - be prepared for all kinds of sports and outdoor events. Norway has wonderful countryside and it is definitelly worth travelling around. Be prepared that you will spend more money then in your home country, but don´t worry about that - they are worth spending. This half a year with all its events and activities was extraordinary experience!!!
