High-level of education combined with a real entertaining social life (student society for instance). Moreover, to who loves to ski and nature, Trondheim is definitely worth it.

Trondheim is 512 kms north from Oslo. But, someway it is quite central in Norway. Therefore it is quite easy to travel and visit most of the country from there. Moreover, NTNU has many agreements with other universities all around the world. Consequently, not only the life here is international but also it is a good start to get contacts or to spend a part of the studies in an other country.

I strongly recommend this university to not-urban people who don't care so much about the weather!! They have generous resources, lots of diferent projects and you can easily 'trace your own track'

Don't forget: your self-standing working and living skills, a good temathic 'english-yournaturallanguage' dictionary and also boots (even if you don't like hiking. It can snow a lot!), goretex raincoat, sleeping bag, kompass, snowboard, skis, customs (!), open mind, spirit of adventure... and maybe some wine or other spirit. This is a 'cruel high price' country, specially alcohol, tobacco, meat and benzine! You will find: Great academical resources, not stressed working enviroment and also wonderful crazy norwegian people, cozy 'kafes', hawaian parties in February, barbaques, student life, international enviroment, tolerance, exceptional breathless nature...

Just select some courses for the bureaucracy's sake when signing up ... it is much easyer to change when on site. Furthermore locals have good knowledge of the quality of different courses.

A good university with a good student life

Overall
I studied at Norsk Teknisk- og naturvitenskapelige universitet (NTNU), at the institution at Dragvoll in Trondheim. It is a decent school, with a focus on well-being of students with a well organized student organization. This provides activities both outside and within the school for students to find friends and enjoy their time when not studying. The teachers and the professors are very structured and help out a lot when studying and aspiring to reach for better grades.

Well, I was really stressed before going to Norway. And now I know it wasn´t really a reason to be worried about. At the end everything works.

For me Norway was the discovery of a different and lovely way of life in constant contact with nature and peace. Nature there is so amazing. I´ll recommend everybody to do many cabin trips there. And also to visit the studenterhytta.
