When you are abroad it is much easier to travel to the neighbour countries. Back home I can't travel like I did in Hungary. The reason why I spent in total more money than I spent at home is mainly because of travelling, but also because you have more costs (you don't go to your parents for a weekend), and because the country is so cheep you are going to spent more, sounds paradoxal but it is true. You are going out for dinner more often, and because you don't have the obligations you should have at home you have more time to do things (like travelling and going out, but the beer is so cheap that you spend less than you should do at home)

we bought our pots and pans new at the sundaymorning market and it was not that difficult to find the cheapest stuff.
I opened a bank account in pecs because otherwise I had two pay two dollars each time when I should draw money from a cash machine, and in half a year that can be a lot! So I think I saved money on doing that, but you need to find somebody who speaks hungarian to go with you, but that was not a problem.

Food was mostly cheaper than in Finland (imported food was not so cheap) and so were the expenses of the accommodation. Restaurants and travel were also cheaper but I spent more on them than I normally do.

Mobilephone, travelling a lot here.
Everything is cheaper here than in Finland so I enjoyed the meals but spent less money on everything else.

I spent more on travel because I travled so much, that it adds up-- still it was really cheap and once u are there, definitely worth it.

Hungary is a very inexpensive country. I spent more on travel then I do at home but that is because I was somewhere else every weekend.
