Personal comments
I already spoke spanish, french and catalan, so learning italian was not very hard. But what it was difficult was to really improve, to learn and to use the italian expressions with no translation to other languages. Also half the time I spoke in italian, it was with non italian people.

Academic
Course recommendations
Computer engineering at turin is mainly hardware oriented. This courses had a good level. Other courses (AI, image treatment) are disappointing. The course about data bases is the best one.

I came from a really practical oriented univesity, and the Politecnico Torino is really theoretical. I haven't write a single line of code. This should be improved.

I wish I had known...
the computer departament of turin is not really big. the main departaments are car engineering and electronics. anyway if you are interested in hardware and industrial applications of computer engineering torino will be a good choice.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
The sense of freedom in an apartment shared or not with more people is bigger than with a family. And you can have a sense of being at home in an apartment that you have not in a campus.

Personal comments
I have been in two apartments. In the second one I had and individual room. I really liked the mix between social live because of living with other students and the posibility of also being calm at your own room.
