Why?
Dorm room were really small and expensive. Off campus housing, on the other hand, was relatively cheap and the offered apartments were all pretty large.

As I mentioned already, the dorm rooms were too small and too expensive, but they had cable internet for free.

I feel that an appartment is better than on campus accomondation no matter how bad the appartment is.

Much better to stay on campus.You're closer to the classes and you can really leave the exchange program experience with local students.

The facilities and rooms were old and a bit worn, but you got used to it. Food thiefs and neighbors making noice are not good.
