Decent Opportunities but needs to improve communication
Roberto A
United Kingdom,
Economics, 2022
Overall
There were a fair amount of volunteering, internship, graduate programme, and international study opportunities available through the school, however a lot of the time these opportunities weren't communicated to the best degree. This was especially frustrating given the fact that many of these opportunities have deadlines to apply that are well in advance of when they would start.

Final comments
Royal Holloway feels very far from London, I lived an hour travel away and got sick of travelling after a while. London is fantastic when you have some money for it. Take advantage of cheap flights to other parts of the UK and Europe

Personal comments
The Students Union is quite good and it often has good events organized. There are few other choices though, save a few pubs in nearby Englefield Green and a couple pricey night spots in Windsor. One can always take a train into London (40 minute journey), but that is somewhat costly and the last train back is at 11:30pm... but you can always take the first morning tran back which if I recall correctly, leaves at 5:30 or you can stay with friends in London. It should also be noted that most students go home on Saturdays and Sundays which can make it somewhat dull on weekends unless you actually do go to London.

Overall
The professors and school environment was amazing, however some students were not as motivated with the studies, which is where some professors could have done more to engage with students.
