The Cocoon club in Frankfurt was the nicest club I'd ever been to. In Darmstadt, the Natrix had the best music for an American. My favorite spot was An Sibin, where they had kareoke and quiz night both each week.

The exchange rate also played a factor in spending more money. The dollar was and still is low when compared to the Euro. Tip: manage your money well by budgeting yourself each week.

Before I had not had much German at all, and my speaking skills were not very advanced. Although the instruction was in German I was still with many Americans during the program.
