Accommodation are quite expensive, especially if you want to live in a furnished room. Here, student residences are common, the advantages are the metro and bus access and the fact that you get to know a lot of people, but they are situated a bit outside the center.

Why?
I'd rather choose the student residences in the down town where the other students stayed instead of the private apartement in the suburban area.

The student residences in the down town are perhaps more expensive than the apartment I chose to have, however the social relationships would have been much more easier to maintain that way.

It was difficult to find a room here, scholl did not gave me any help. I had to stay in a kind of hotel for 3 months, which costed me more than 700 Euro a month. After 3 months I found my appartment with help from my coordinator.

Even though campus housing was available I prefered to rent out my own flat in the center of the town...right in the heart of the old part of the city.

Got a huge appartment in a very nice part of town, next to a subway station that takes you straight to school. Lots of restaurants and coffe places around.
