Housing
Type of housing: on campus then 2nd - 4th years off campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Off campus living is really where it's at, its like a university village around the School's campus are and being that next door to Tulane you have Loyola University, living off campus is truly where the social life is.

I was put inot a dormatory (on campus) my first year, teh accomodations were average, however the experience of living in a US dorm was amazing. Teh school does offer on campus housing for 2nd 3rd and 4th year students but that's not where the life is. As for otehr accomodations you really can't ask for more, a pool, tennis courts, raquetball courts, a weight room, great computer facilities, etc... the food could be a tad better at the mess halls, mut that goes for all uni's globally i think.

I'm a born snob, and a party animal, so I liek some of the more distinguished places. I would recoomend DosJeffes on Tchapatoulas, Whiskey Bar, Whiskey Blue, Foundation Room, The Matador, DBA, the Spotted Cat (all downtown), the Colums Hotel on St. Charles Ave. For places around campus there's always Phillips, which boats attractive female bartenders and has a wonderful ambiance, as well as an outside patio when the owner decides to open it. The local watering hole "The Boot" provides Tulane college students with their daily intake of alchohol adn tabacco, as well as a number of other local bars. For the true party animal, I would reccomend Igors (St. Charles & Jackson Ave), Snake n' Jakes (Oak) and Miss May's or known to the new crowd as "The Club" (on Magazine and Napoleon)
The last get good at about 4-5 am and are open 24/7. Have fun and be safe.

well at home the parents feed me, and pays for pretty much all my expenses. And since everything is open 24/7 in New Orleans, well you can figure out why I spent more on nightlife ;)
