Barcelona is an amazing city and there are any number of things to be done and seen. Again, since I lived in the center, my free time was mostly spent there and not on campus. There were however quite a number of activities, student organisations etc at campus, only I don't know them too well. My favourite area of Bcn is the old town, el Barrio Gótico, where you will find a lot of really nice bars, restaurants and cafés. Buy "Guia del Ocio", weekly guide to Barcelona nightlife, take the "Bus Turistic" to see all the sights, go to Sitges in the summer, dance at la Terazza, drink cava and eat tapas at the xampanerías, walk along the Rambla etc etc

Fantastic nightlife in Barcelona! Most of the best places are off the beaten track, so you need to be in the know to find them. Our main hang outs were Discotheque in Poble Esanyol, which becomes an open air nightclub called Terrazza during the summer months. Maremagnum is a bit of a touist trap and teh drinks are expensive, but it is still worth a visit! It is a shopping centre by day, and they play good music, the clubs are mostly free, and you can wander in and out of them all. You'll find little gems of bars, for example dot, the london bar, salsita's, just off the ramblas in the surrounding windy roads.

Thera are many many bars clubs and so on. It is the city of night life-so it is very dificult to show one best place-but I find the best of best the Denzatoria club-you have the feeling of being in Hoolywood party-big big hause with 4 floors anf 4 types of music-nice residence-on Tibidabo

In Barcelona there are just to many things to see. The night life is great. There are hundreds of disco´s all over the city. Mirablau, Bucaro, Otto Zutz, Rosebud are some cool disco´s. If you want to have some good food you can always buy the Guia del Ocio.

Weekly trips to watch Barca or Espanyol are a must. Republic House is run by English lads but with a great mix of people, nothing like your average British run bar in Barcelona. Razzmatazz, Apolo, La Paloma are excellent clubs
