Academic
Course recommendations
try seminars, they are the most interesting subjects, very praxis-oriented and not too hard even 4 erasmus. forget about most beginner and intermediate courses, they are very theoretical and teachers tend to be crap.

My academic experiences
Interaction with teachers
Interaction with international students
Interaction with local students
Personal comments
enjoy life on- and off-campus. teachers can be enoying because they see erasmus as lazy people. their prejudices lead to bad results even though one works hard. so be prepared!

Final comments
check out:
Guggenheim Bilbao.
All the beaches.
Pamplona, 7.7 - fiestas and the famous bull-run.
get a calender with all the fiestas, in general.
get yourself a local girl/boyfriend (if you have a relationship, forget about this point).
dont try to understand the spaniards - just accept their way of living.
bring your car, but never let anything in it - unless you got a good insurance.
have fun! this will be the only time in your life you will have this kind of experience - things will never be the same again....

Languages
Language of instruction: Spanish
Was learning Spanish a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Spanish
How much did you improve your Spanish?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.)
My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang)
Language difficulties
Administrative / Institutional
Personal comments
very easy language integration off-campus. people are very helpful and correct you. a bit tougher on-campus because lessons dont really give them the time to care about your language difficulties
