Final comments
Concerning the apartment, try to get an apartment with central heating. It might not seem important in the beginning when it's warm but most people were freezing much more than in their home country. Be careful about apartments being close to the business faculty (Cartuja), they might be quite far away from downtown, which is not practical when going out. Sign up for the international student organization (ASEE), they organize all kinds of activities such as salsa courses, language exchanges (intercambios) and trips.

Andalusian slang was not easy to understand, especially with same-aged Spanish students. I could understand people from e.g. Madrid much better.

You have to look for an appartment yourself. You can get some support from the host University from the "Servicio de Alojamiento". Apartment offers are normally posted on public phones.
