Personal comments
The school did not help set up housing for us, so upon arrival we were obligated to go look for a place ourselves. But I would recommend doing the same because once you arrive there are many postings listed all over the campus, the city and on the internet for apartments for rent, probably because there are so many international students coming in and out. There is a good company that helps you with looking for an apartment if you still feel stuck and the website/email is called roomatesevilla.com

I recommend international experiences for all American students. While programs tend to be expensive, look into state university programs -- then tend to be cheaper and allow you to take classes at a host university rather than an American center or institute.

The university is great for American students who want to attend a Spanish university. Located in the center of Sevilla, it's within walking distance to the center.

Go study abroad for an academic year. 3-4 months is not enough time to get acculturated to your new environment. Once you do become more accostomed to living in another country and culture, it's time for you to leave. A year, while it may seem like a long time, is a more worthwhile investment for you and your growth.

Mobile phones were more expensive only because i had to use pre-paid. But if you get vodafone, you can get some pretty good prices. if you join the Q Tal group with your friends, it will cost you 6 cents to call and text everyone in the group. i also came with dollars and the dollar was not doing so well this year. So the exchange rate was unfavoralbe for some things.

If you are coming from the states, to avoid ATM charges open a Citibank account before you come and you can take money out for free. Fees can be as high as $25 per transaction!
