I had a reasonable level before going to spain so i was quite confident in using the language. An intensive language course was a great help at the start of the year. By the end of the year I felt confident in my ability to speak and communicate in Spanish in any situation.

El Bedel, La casa del loco, Boxes and Bull McCabes all great nightspots. Parque grande is great for swimming, sunbathing and playing football. Fiestas del Pilar in October are not to be missed. Tapas bars in Plaza Ignacio Asso are great, good food and cheap.
