The scenario of the University
Margarida M
Portugal, Graduate
Architecture, 2020
Overall
The university is one of the best in the country, it has great faculties with great professionals that truly prepare us for the future of our careers, that make us work really hard to achieve our results. But unfortunately the university doesn't provide the students with housing and the scenario of room renting is a nightmare since rents are extremely high for a student or a family with a normal household income to afford.

I wish I had known...
Before leaving for Porto I had some brief e-mail communication with ex-Erasmus students in Portugal to find out more about accomodation in order to prevent the inconvenience of staying in a hotel during the first week/weeks since the arrival date was the same as the begining of the semester. I did some research concerning the country and University. However I did not try to get too much information since I consideres that dealing with problems on the spot was a more rewarding experience.
