Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
The residence available that semester was quite far from the school. It cost 600 euro, which is the same price that I paid to have my own room at a 2-minute walk from school.

The prices of international (non-Italian) food are higher here. Housing is much much more expensive here, and I live with my parents at home anyway.

Open a bank account and transfer the money you think you'll need at the beginning. This will save you the costs of taking money out at the atm, which only lets you take out 250euro per atm machine per day.

I came to Italy with an advanced knowledge of Italian grammar. I needed to practice speaking but didn't do that as much as I had hoped to do. I advise people who want to improve their speaking ability to take a class in Italian, or at least attend a class in Italian all semester. Also, take the crash course offered before the semester begins. It may not improve you're Italian (depending on the level that you're at already), but you will meet everybody in that class.
