Worth the effort

Overall
The Diploma degree: International Economic and Business Studies offers students not only basic knowledge in all area of Economics and Business studies, but also allows for a dual specialisation, which enables student to specialise in those areas they find most interesting or valuable to themselves. Especially, the second part of the study programme points to the particular interest of the students and delivers a detailed and thorrow understanding of the subjects.  The best part of the programme is the exchange year included in the curriculum, since it kind of forces you to study a year abroad in order to finish your degree, pushing you out of your comfort zone and giving you the opportunity not only to study and live in a different language, but also to experience courses on an other university, to meet people from all over the world and to engage even more with the "international" spirit of the degree.

Interesting studies with interesting people / beautiful surrounding

Business Studies, 2011
Overall
My student days at the University of Innsbruck have been very interesting. I had pretty interesting lectures, courses and met interesting people I am still in contact with. Due to the fact, that Innsbruck is a very small town in tirol surrounded by the Alps I could really concentrate on my studies and haven't been distracted by things. There was a very productive relationship at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences, which was very pleasant for my studies there.

I did my Master's degree in social and economic sciences there.

Final comments
If cheap flights, it might be hard to find any to Innsbruck, as long as you don't fly from Paris / Amsterdam (SkyEurope). Of course that changes every season / 6 months, so it's worth to check every now and then. Definetely no flights like that from Poland so far. In such case good idea could be to fly to Munich and from there take "Four Seasons" taxi directly from the airport to your home in Innsbruck - 40 EUR in 2006. Other: fly to Salzburg, it's just 2 hours to Innsbruck by train.

All together Innsbruck is a good university
Andre F
Germany, Undergraduate
Business Studies, 2020
Overall
In Innsbruck you have to take courses on all aspects of business (banking, marketing, HR, macroeconomics...) at the beginning of your studies. This is sometimes exhausting, but on the other hand it also has the advantage that you get an overview. Later you can specialize in up to three areas. The campus is modern and centrally located.  The teachers are mostly committed and make an effort. There are multiple-choice exams, presentations, essays and written submissions for grading.

Pros
You have the chance to write every exam up to five times.

Students life in Innsbruck

Overall
I've loved living and studying in this beautiful city, surrounded by nature. The high quality of life in Innsbruck allows students to attend University and to have at the same time a part-time/weekend job to support themselves (rent costs, food and stuff). The University of Innsbruck is high-ranked among european Universities and gives students great opportunities and services.
