Course recommendations
Meteorology was a fantastic course which I would recommend to any Physics student. The French system is regurgitation. You pass exams by having a photographic memory, not by application of learning

Learning to perfect French in Toulouse is a wonderful experience. The local Toulousain accent is the most distinctive in France and the way they pronouce the language is enchanting. I recommend Toulouse as a place to study and live unreservedly.

Go! But remember French Universities are concrete hellholes and the visual hell of the campus should not detract from the beauty of Toulouse!

Final comments
Go, to the University and to the fantastic city of Toulouse. The proximity to the Pyrenées and the mediterranian and the beauty of the river Garonne make quality of life in Toulouse second to none. The city is absolutely fantastic as well as beautiful.

Personal spending habits
Socialising in France is prohibitively expensive. Buy alcohol at supermarkets and drink at home before hitting the town! Other expenditure is generally slightly cheaper in Toulouse compared to the UK

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
The Halls of Residence, although outrageoously cheap, were a terrible place to live with few amenities and little feeling of community.

Personal comments
The Halls are cheap, but not cheerful. I saved a lot of money living there and it is worth it if you have to budget but living in the centre of Toulouse is far more appealing...
