Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: On campus

The rooms are very small (9m²), but cheap as well. Fortunately, my room was in a new building, so everything was new!

Academic
Course recommendations
The method of teaching was old-fashioned. The teacher comes with a ppt, students have to copy what is written on the board & after that they have to learn the lecture. Original ideas aren't appreciated or reading books outside the recommended ones.

Final comments
Go for it if you want to learn French, live in a wonderful city (Toulouse is great!) and travel. French people aren't opened and welcoming at the beginning, you have to have the patience to know them better. Administration is a nightmare, at least for non-EU citizens!
