I wish I had known...
I wish I would have known that the University of Nantes had no programme whatsoever aimed at making foreign students feel at home. You're totally on your own there.

An excellent institution for Renewable Energies
Elie G
France, Graduate
Engineering, Technology, 2023
Overall
I studied my whole undergraduate and Masters degree here at Nantes University, and I learned everything an engineer must know to jumpstart their career in Renewable Energies. I was able to start working in what I love the most, thanks to the excellent teachings done by passionate professors who work very hard to make compelling research at a very high level, especially in electrochemical storage (Lithium batteries, Hydrogen...).

My favourite bar was definitely 'Le sal gosse, (the naughty kid!) Really cool music with a young and fun clientele and friendly staff. 'Le lieu Unique' is more of a nightclub which is well worth a visit. Used to be a biscuit factory but was converted by the Mere of Nantes to offer local DJs and artists the chance to perform. As with most French cities there is a couple of Irish pubs. The John McBurns is ideally located and friendly too with the usual array of Irish liquor for sale. Traditional Irish music by local musicians on a Sunday.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: or youth hotel or an apartment
Why?
It depends how many days I'll spend there. Less than 1 week, I'll choose youth hotel, more than 1 month, I'll hire an apartment.
