Speaking the language or making the effort will help a lot. Locals sometimes have difficulties in speaking English.

Italian courses tend to be more interesting than English courses. CEMS courses are reduced though.

Personal comments
The academic life is quite enjoyable. The only problem is that since the university expanded so much in little time the organisation of courses is a bit chaotic.

Personal comments
There are too many students in this university, so the housing system through the university is complicated. I personally did not find anything through the university system, what is more, I found it quite chaotic. If you are to use it you should have a look in advance and make sure you are staying for a reasonable amount of time (one year better than just a term).

Favorite night clubs: the Budda, il Ragno d'oro and Casablanca Places not to be missed: the Brera zone and the Navigli and the shopping area (especially at Via Monte Napoleone and Viale Spiga - even if everything is out of budget, just worth seeing all the glamour and fashionable shops).
