Academic
Course recommendations
In comparison to my home university I found the level a step lower. Taking the courses in Italian, however, compensated for this.

I found the way of examination quite unprofessional in comparison to my home university. Multiple choice and orals were quite subjective versus the objective and anonymous system I am used to.

I would recommend saving before going to Italy. There are so many things to do and see that it would be a shame to miss out due to financial problems.

If basing your choice solely on accademic strength, then Bocconi is not for you. If you want culture and an opportunity to live in Italy, this is the place to be!

Make sure you do take the opportunity to travel.

Milan is wonderful, there is no single place that I can recommend!
Do try to take advantage of the culture. La Scala and the theatre is amazing.
Bars: where do I begin? All restaurants and bars had a wonderful atmosphere. I would recommend trying to try them all!

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I had the opportunity to live with an Italian student during my stay in Milan. I feel I got much more from my year in this way. I learnt about Italian culture and vastly improved my language skills.
