High quality of knowledge acquired, but services must be improved
Gloria C
Italy, Graduate
Materials Science, 2019
Overall
I had a great experience in my university, both for bachelor's and for master's degree. In particular, during master's classes I had the possibility to join several laboratory activities, which kept me closer to practical engineering experiences, so it is a positive aspect. I think that also during bachelor's classes, even if the students' number is higher, it is important to experience laboratories and practical lessons, because engineering is not only theory and books! A practical approach is important to develop a critical and empirical thinking, along with solving problems attitude.
I consider very high the quality of knowledge acquired during these years, expecially on technical point of view. But I hope that university will improve services (i.e. simplification of burocracy and implementation of technological facilities) and also will act more as "BRIDGE" between graduates and job's world, which is fundamental for a region of South Italy which wants (and needs) to grow.

Lecce was wonderful also because I could take fast trips to the seaside resorts nearby. Everything was close and accessible. As a final comment, I wish to say that I had a wonderful Erasmus experience. However, it is difficult to make general statements. I believe each personal experience to be distinct, in the sense that each individual will find whatever he/she is looking for. You just need to keep an open mind!

Overall

Cons
sarebbe necessario un maggior supporto per categorie di persone che hanno maggiori difficoltà nel superare gli esami di certificazione linguistica, data la loro situazione di bilinguismo/multilinguismo;
