I wish I had known...
Yes,that the housing/accomodation was so poor and that the city was so small and boring.

It is a very small university in a very small city in the north of Italy. The university is academically spoken of very high quality, but it is a very small city.If you want to experience a good nightlife you have to go outside of the city centre or go to Bologna or other cities. But overall it is a good university.

If you can arrange private accomodation I will recommend you do so,but on the other hand you meet so many great people from all over in the residence, that was the main reason I stayed there in spite of the poor conditions.I met so many great people, made friends for life, learned to speak a new language fluently, got to know another culture, enjoyed good food, people and a new country. These are experiences that I will never forget and that formed who I am as a person today.A truely amazing international experience!

Corso di lingue e culture europee

Overall

It's a pretty good university, but not in a student-oriented city. In general the feelig is positive and if you want to achieve something and you are working on it you will get it.

Check the train connections on www.trenitalia.it, refer to the student-office on difficulties, be prepared for the registration in the local police(for extra-EU students) and their long time of response. Look up some nice places in Italy and go there as soon as possible, because there are some really beautiful.

It takes a lot of time before any kind of paper work is organized, too much time before things can be officially dealt with

It is a very good university for exchange program, has alot of international students that are open to meet new people, very easy to make friends, the teachers are also easy to contact, they help exchange students during their stay

Really happy

Overall
I really liked my course of study in Economics and International Marketing, I had the chance to study English at an advanced level and also take courses of other foreign languages.
During my last year, I could choose among different optional subjects so I had the chance to focus more on what I'm interested in.

No, it is better to go without knowing as it is the new adventure you want to experience. Except for choosing your host university.

try to always have everything in order, so matter are faster and easily solved or arranged. As for travelling, travelling as much as you can, go to other cities to get to know the culture of the country..and travel to the south as you will see the differences between the south and the north, and the beauty of both sides of the country....italian people are nice people.
