Certains things were simply cheaper in Italy while I was there but I have been back since the Euro arrived and things have definitely got significantly more expensive! However generally travel is cheaper than the UK, certain foods which Italians eat are cheaper whereas foods which they don't eat so regularly are more expensive. For example pasta and sauces are cheaper than the UK but breakfast cereal is more expensive. If you get a pizza in a restaurant or takeaway it will be cheaper - and a hell of a lot nicer! So, when in Italy, eat like the Italians do.

I traveled more to see something from Italy. Because I´ve a boy-friend I had to call him often to know how he felt. I went in more exhibitations.

Telephone, fairly cheap if you buy an italian sim card, food is also extremely cheap, especially if you eat out!

Because in a foreign country you travel more than usual to get to know the country and for telephone because it is more expensive to phone home. In Munich the prices for accomodation are the highest of Germany. So it's no wonder that it was cheaper for me.

First of all, Italy is a more expensive country than Spain, but also we must practically start a new life here, and expense some money on things that we already have in our home countries.
