Personal recommendation
I totally recommend it, meanwhile, there´s too much Erasmus, which makes things more difficult to gather all. Exchange students were a bit sccattered by countries, and residentials.

The best student experience
????? ?
Italy,
Law, 2023
Overall
My time at the University of Bologna was exceptional. The campus embraced diversity, making it easy to meet new friends from all over. The modern facilities and convenient access to quiet study rooms enhanced my learning experience.

Bologna's location was perfect, with a mix of history and modernity, and everything within reach. The unique oral examination method challenged me, promoting learning all comprehensive coursework and apply creative thinking, ultimately enriching my understanding.

The friendly atmosphere of Bologna encouraged the exchange of innovative ideas and insights during studies. Overall, my experience at the University of Bologna was transformative and unforgettable. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an inspiring academic journey.

Careers
Yes, but a choice was a bit limited for such a competitive field as mine. I suggest learning Italian sooner to apply for internships.

Travel was very cheap. Food was cheap from the local markets, and a experience in itself! Get a mobile phone asap if you want a decent social life.

Find a shop which sells non perishable goods, and buy pasta, canned food, toiletries from there, then shop at markets for fresh produce. Find out about the "abonnamento mensile" Monthly season ticket for the buses - it may work out cheaper. Get a bike (Via Zamboni is cheap)(and a VERY good lock).

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
It gives opportunity to seing "real" life in a foreign country, not only students life. To precise, living in apartment obliged you to think about usual daily things, like shoping, cooking, cleaning etc., not only about studies and exames

Personal comments
I was schoolarship holder of Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs, so the campus was covered by this. It was nice typical students rooms for two people quite close to the center of the town.

orgnaization is pretty well done; courses are crowded, so better be there in advance; exams can last up to three days if many students register for the same date; oldest european university with corresponding atmosphere and prestige; very good learning environment and many recreations and socializing opportunities; very satisfies with all aspects of student and academic life

accomodation is very expensive; often low quality of rooms; old constructions with many flaws; great experience, very satidfied with all aspects except accomodation; accomodation offices do help though; central geographic position of Bologna, hence many travel opportunities.
