It was difficult to find people to talk to, because most of them could speak either English or Spanish and were not patient when I was trying to speak German. But local people were OK and teachers were fantastic.

I did not work while I was there and it is good to work in a McDonald's or something like that to save money to your parents.

I wish I had known how Germans are! They are nice, but most of them take advantage of you, because you are a foreign student, to improve their own skills in your language.

If you go there with an Erasmus grant, take notice of which subjects you are going to do and have recognized in your own country. I studied a lot in Germany and it was worth nothing, for my university did not recognize the subjects I did there. Try to join the students of AEGEE, because they're going to take you to trips and show you the city.

Live Music Hall in Ehrenfeld. All the pubs in Zuelpicher Strasse are great and near the university. You can't miss the concerts, they are great!

Nobody helped me to find the accommodation and it was pretty expensive what I found, because I had no choice and I couldn't be living under the bridge.
