It is good to find the room or appartement some time before the school begins, even at the beginning of summer for september. It gives more possibilities for lower prices.

Final comments
It is better to look for a housing through someone that is already there, and if there isn't anyone like that, through a internet newspaper. The agencies in the internet are sometimes a lot more expensive.

I studied abroad just before Poland join EU, Euro was very strong in comparison with Zloty, everything was at least 3 times more expensive in Belgium than in Poland.
