La fete de la musique (forgot which day/night it was)
l'Áéronef (rock concerts)
I went to see the White Stripes there when they were just getting known in Europe; cost me about 15 euros

I could recommand you cafe De Beurs, in the centre of Utrecht. You can have a drink, eat something or just go dancing at thursday night!

All the area around the metro stop "grand place" is full of attractives. Special note for "le biplan" (stop "Gambetta" on yellow line of metro, ask when there) where anyone can have a glass of good beer and listen or make live music (jam sessions on thursday night!!!) in a confortable and warm ambience.. The campus also proposes cinè night with non stop movies from 9pm to 9am the next day... it's a good chance to live a nex exprience and make friends!!!
