I was overwhelmed with the many places offered to partake in Québec City's vibrant nightlife. Having been there during the Festival d'été, there were many open air concerts and performances to choose from. Popular nightspots include Chez Dagobert, which has an amazing dancefloor (but a less than desirable atmosphere), the trendy Chez Maurice across the street. Also nearby is Liquid, a club with three different rooms providing for a lot of variety. All of these are located on the Grande Allée Est, along with popular restaurants and North American fast food joints. Most of the clubs have a small, if not no cover charge! Rue St. Jean is also a great street: be sure to go to the Kashmir night club, the Casse-Crepe Breton Creperie, and Pub St-Alexandre - they are all must visits and well worth your time and money. For those days when you don't want to go downtown, the university pub, "Le Pub", is a hotspot on Thursday nights.

I wish I could remember the names of the places...Québec is filled with night clubs and the bast part was that they do not have cover charges so you can go to 3 or 4 or however many you want in a night...

There were hardly any good bars, they are all too dark or/and too loud; best one was however the Turf, which had an Irish touch; But we met us normally at somebody's appartment

Found a local bar on my walk home, quite large and accomidating - few students - great opportunity to use my language with the locals.
