“Bonne Université”
Meriem T
Germany, Graduate
Translation/Interpretation, 2022
Overall

In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
Important factors in my choice
(1) Unimportant – (4) Very important
Personal recommendation
At ULB you will almst have to do everything by your own; the administration doesn´t help you too much. Anyway, in this university teache some of the best teachers I ever knew and very who work for the european institutions, too.

Travel as much as you can. Is incredible how near is Belgium from the rest of central Europe (France, Holland, Germany, GB, ...).
Inside Belgium use the Gopass, and in Germany the All-weekend included train ticket for regional trips.

Cafe de la Bourse (it has a Flemish name but I don't remember it). On campus until when exams come they have a lot of crazy parties (TD) where all people drink a lot, mostly bear. Students really have a lot of things to do, if you know how to search. Oxford Café is for Erasmus students. Le Soum is a good disco. Brussels, in the beginning can be very boring, so you must do your work.

ULB offers you not just the accademical knowledge. It teaches you that beyond the theory you need to struggle to find the right equillibrium between social inclusion and career development.
