The best and cheapest gym is "Tonus", the owners are great and got good friends of mine. Concerning the nightlife, that is over 2 years ago now, I dont remember the names of all the good bars and discos. There were some really cool ones. But it was great everywhere with the french guys I got friends with.

Housing
Type of housing: furnished room in the same house as the family
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: with that family or another friend
Why?
we became friends and I had a great time there. Otherwise I would stay with other friends I got to know there. That is more fun.

Personal comments
They are horrible: very expensive and incredibly small. And the organization was horrible, tool. The day I arrived there was no room for me in the house the university told me before. That was pretty chaotic.

The food is more expensive, the accomodation was only the same because of the fund of the French government (caisse d'allocation), I also spent more for the sports club (gym) than I do in Germany, it was more expensive.

Academic
Course recommendations
I didnt want any interactions with the other Germans. I was there to get to know the French culture and people and learn French and not to speak German.
I could not choose any courses, I did a maîtrise marketing like all the French students, so I did not have any choice after having chosen the maîtrise.
