Speaking the language was a bit difficult when I first arrived, especially in informal social situations. But I made a lot of progress throughout the year and my abilities to both understand and speak the language have greatly improved.

It was interesting to talk to native speakers of french and it was nice to see that I did ok,thouh i'm much better in English as my specialization is English -French at the home university

As all of the courses were held in french, there was no possibility but to learn the language as quickly as possibly. During the year I learned the language while concentrating on law and having fun with my friends.

I already spoke French when I went to Nice, the only thing I had to get used to was legal French, but after a month or so it wasn't a problem

Following the courses in the host language enabled me to make huge improvements as far as reaching a native level. The overall experience made me surely a more confident person
