I would recommend to have a beer while you are listening live music in a pub.
you will find folk music, but also many indie bands....and the most are really good.

Cork has some great places to eat and hang out: Milano's, Fellini's, Bodega, An Spailpin Fanac, An Brog, Rearden's, Ciao Ciao, the Co-op, and of course, Hoggy's!
