University of Buckingham

In comparison with other unis in England the rooms are much better and the facilities are very good.

The thing about Buckingham is that nothing much goes on in town itself, for excitement and entertainment you either have to wait for the party at the uni or go outside Bucks, which is most commonly what all students do. The closest place with all the fun is Milton Keynes and of course Oxford. In Milton Keynes it is really worth going to Excape-movies, shopping, restaurants and, (yei!) snowboarding and bowling! Also this place has quite a few nightclubs. Don't forget to visit Oceana!

I already knew the language when I came to the university and the only problems I had were mostly the specific academic terms, the business language and local slang. But now, I feel that I've pretty much coped with it.

When new students arrive they don't know anything about the place and spend more on text books and household items then should have, because they buy new ones. It is easily available from old students and always advertised on the local network through university email.

If you choose Buckingham please be very careful with what you do and who you socialize with. People are interested in knowing every little detail about you, even if they don't know you. Sometimes it can be very frustrating (they don't normally come up with nice things to say no matter what kind of person you are).
