The Czech Republic is a very cheap country to live in for Western Europeans. The prices are still very low but will adapt to Western standards since this country is planning to join the EU.

It was a challenge to buy a metro ticket but in the city many young people speak English and older people sometimes know German. But it is still hard to get in contact with Czech people because of the language barrier.

Final comments
Overall it was very good semester. I met a lot of new friends and learned a lot about other cultures although it did not really bring me a lot further with my studies. But still a time worth spending. The whole of Eastern Europe is wonderful to travel in.

Course recommendations
Czech - interesting to learn some, but very hard History of any kind - interesting to learn about this country and its past Managerial Systems - matched my studies and was very intersting because focussed on Eastern Europe (especially Privatization after Communism)

Joe's Bar..the place to be. That was Hemingway's favourite bar, too. Then it depends on favourite music. Lots of Jazz Clubs, Rock Cafes...Enough to choose from. Cafe Cafe..a bit pricy but nice atmospere and good Cappuccino. Coffee is not enjoyable in Prague..anywhere you go.. Prague is a very beautiful city..a must-go.
