Every Wednesday night is Lady's night at Grog house (located on West university Ave) and then Ruebar and Rehab were clubs I have good memories of. Lake Alice is the spot to see alligators near the campus.

Why?
This apartment complex was really good, I had access to fitness center, pool, tennis courts. Moreover I had a lot of facilities in the apartment itself : laundry, washdrier, dishwasher, microwave, oven, all charges and DSL included.

That coming back home is really depressing ! The exchange abroad experience is so great, you'll regret it as soon as you go back to your hometown!!

Final comments
to get to Gainesville, prefer Miami or Atlanta, they have direct liaisons by plane. If you prefer bus there are shuttles from Jacksonville and Orlando and it's a lot cheaper!!

I made some progress for the first day that I landed in Gainesville. Uf is really great concerning the international experience, I am now fluent in english thanx to the education and the friends I've made there.

Personal spending habits
Nightlife and food is really cheap in a college town compared to my home town. The rent was cheap in dollars, so in euros it was even cheaper for me. About the travels and overall leisure expenses though, as I wanted to go everywhere in florida, I spent a lot on that.
