my final advice is: don't be afraid at all...an experience abroad will change your life for sure....it will be like that especially if you aren't familiar with the atmosphere in the country you will choose....so.....DO IT!!!!DEFINETELY!! ;-)

i think you MUST enjoy as much as possible every second in your life whenever you have the chance....i could save 600-700 £ but i'm sure i did the best....in that way i won't regret any second!!!! ;-)

the university accomodations are ok, even if they look like hospitals sometimes :-) ;at the beginning i stayed into a university accomodation cause i preferred to have an accomodation just from the first day of my experience; even if i'm really flexible, i think it was too expensive (270 £ for a shared room) but really well located (4 minutes walking from the department!!!)

i stayed in scotland...for this reason i think the social events that characterize this city are the one with the ceilidh, the tipical dance in scotland! the university unions, the associations and even some clubs organized special nights with these events!!!anyway glasgow is really a university and night-life city with thousand clubs in the city centre!!!
